Hi, this is Ann Hohn. I work here at Make-A-Wish and wanted to tell everyone about a great event Brittany Youngman and I had the pleasure of attending this morning. For those who live in Pittsburgh, you know of The Kaufmann’s Clock, a historic landmark in downtown Pittsburgh. Today, Macy’s launched a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Clock with a proclamation by Mr. McFeely (of Mr. Roger’s fame) and a breakfast reception, as well as the sale of clock-inspired merchandise and in-store events.
As many of you know, Macy’s is a huge supporter of Make-A-Wish nationally and has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to our chapter over the past 10 years through its Believe and Thanks for Sharing campaigns, including more than $205,000 just this past December. There will never be a way for us to thank the good folks at Macy’s enough and we are so grateful to be part of today’s historic festivities. Anytime you’re in a Macy’s, be sure to tell your sales associate ‘thanks’ for everything they do for the Make-A-Wish kids.
