At the request of local and state officials, we will be closing Make-A-Wish offices effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, with plans of reopening as soon as appropriate.
Even though we will be working remotely, our commitment to our mission will not change. Mail, donations, volunteer requests, referrals and wishes that are not temporarily restricted by travel will continue. All staff will be available via mobile phone and email.
As you likely know, we had previously made the difficult decision to postpone all wish travel, as well as wish kid participation in all activities related to Make-A-Wish that involve large gatherings, until further notice. The best interest of the children and families we serve is at the forefront of all policy decisions we make.
During this uncertain time, we are sincerely grateful for our community of supporters.
Your commitment to our wish children and families is critical - particularly now.
Because of COVID-19 postponements, there will be more wish kids waiting for wishes than ever before. Your help today will bring hope and joy to wish kids in your community. To find out how you can get involved, visit greaterpawv.wish.org/ways-to-help.
In addition, numerous events and fundraisers, including those taking place at schools and universities, have been postponed or cancelled altogether. Our mission has been interrupted and we need your support now more than ever.We humbly ask our supporters to donate at greaterpawv.wish.org/donate.
