Abigail, who is diagnosed with an uncontrolled seizure disorder, had wished to go to the sunny beaches of Hawaii; however, she was not expecting to be called to the center of the court for a special surprise. Students, staff and faculty came to Abigail bearing gifts for her wish trip that she found out would be soon happening in early March.
Instead of worrying about doctor’s appointments and check-ups, now Abigail and her family can focus on the fun and excitement their trip has to offer by making great memories and spending quality time together as a family.
Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia would like to extend its thanks to Edinboro University and the NCAA Division II Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for making Abigail’s wish reveal so special.
The NCAA Division II has been a proud sponsor of Make-A-Wish® since 2003, raising more than 4 million dollars for children with life-threatening medical conditions. Because of its strong support and outstanding efforts, children like Abigail can have their wishes come true.
