Elvis, an African penguin from the National Aviary
, was revealed as the first Macy's
Believe letter writer today at the Downtown Pittsburgh Macy's
store. Elvis asked Santa to lead a parade. Kids from Brightside Academy, as well as Make-A-Wish mascot Stella! and three former wish kids, joined Elvis as he led a parade down an aisle at Macy's that led to the Believe mailbox. Wish kids Erika Liberto, Sierra Lilac and Meghan Sluzynsky are now cancer free and are Make-A-Wish staff members.
Now through December 24, Macy’s invites believers of all ages to be part of holiday magic and drop off their stamped letter to Santa at their local Macy’s store. Letters can also be created and sent online at macys.com/believe. When you send your letter to Santa online, you can be part of the longest wishlist to Santa. Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish for each letter received, up to $1 million. To learn more, visit macys.com/believe.
