As the school year gets underway, there are many kids living in Pennsylvania and West Virginia who have bigger challenges than just making the grade -- they are battling life-threatening medical conditions. Three-year-old wish kid Blake, who is diagnosed with Wilm's tumor, is one of them. Make-A-Wish® granted his wish to visit SeaWorld to see sharks up close. He said, "It was the best time ever. My wish helped me forget that I was sick." Here's how you can give a child with a life-threatening medical condition a school year filled with hope, strength and joy.
REFER A CHILD
Blake's magical wish to SeaWorld started with a referral. If you know of a child between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition, please refer them to Make-A-Wish today. Click here for more information. You can refer a child by using our online form or calling 800.676.9474.
HOLD A FUNDRAISER AT YOUR SCHOOL
Blake's school district raises money for Make-A-Wish -- yours can, too. By participating in our Kids for Wish Kids® or Wishmakers on Campus® programs, your school can give kids with life-threatening medical conditions, like Blake, hope and strength for the future.
