Many thanks to Brooks Brothers for helping to make Sidney's wish come true! Sidney, 18, diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, wished for a suit as part of his shopping spree wish. Brooks Brothers in Downtown Pittsburgh helped out in a big way by providing Sidney with a personal shopper to find the perfect suit on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Brady, Sid's personal shopper, gave him the scoop on hot fashions in New York, and showed him how to mix things up and accessorize. The store associates even taught Sidney how to tie a tie. After trying on some various outfits, Sidney picked out a grey suit complete with vest. He was really excited about the vest because he wanted to be able to mix and match his suit with more casual clothes. Sidney left the store with a suit, several dress shirts, dress shoes, a belt, jeans, pink chinos, colorful socks and much more!
After taking a look in the mirror, Sidney yelled, "I look good!" Sidney has had a long uphill battle with cancer, and Brooks Brothers provided him with joy, strength and a boost of confidence.
Since 2000, Brooks Brothers has raised $2 million dollars for Make-A-Wish and has helped grant 267 wishes.
