Francesca Dabecco’s Make-A-Wish story began when her wish was granted, giving her the change to combine her passions for fashion and journalism during a once-in-a-lifetime experience writing a blog for a fashion magazine. During her second semester in college, she started her internship with the same foundation that had made her wish come true.

Allison, who was visiting Steelers practice through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, headed out to the field as the players came over, took pictures with him, and in the case of Brown, give him a football that was used in practice.
“This is very exciting, seeing all of them this close,” said Allison, a 14-year old from Alum Bank, Pa., who has osteosarcoma. “Seeing how they work out and train and meeting them. I really like football and enjoy it. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

A sophomore at Mt. Pleasant Area High School, Brady returned to class last week after being out all year. Now, he looks forward to a week in Aruba courtesy of Make-A-Wish of Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia and the fundraising efforts of athletes at Seton Hill University.
The university's Student Athlete Advisory Committee presented Brady with an enlarged boarding pass last weekend.
