Light Up A Child's Life® Campaign

The Light Up A Child’s Life® campaign has been making the lives of children with critical illnesses a little bit brighter for the past 30 years. The courageous stories of our wish kids motivate both our volunteers and donors alike. By granting wishes, everyday people can make a difference in a child's life. December 13th and 16th-20th

  • Pictured here is Make-A-Wish Director of Development Stephanie Pugliese, Stella! the Star, Jordan Kline from WISH 99.7 and the Zombek family. This is the fifth year that the Zombek family held their Annual Christmas Light Display in Elizabeth, PA. The grand lighting was held on November 30 with auctions, mascots, hot chocolate and performances all benefiting Make-A-Wish.

  • Picture here is Max Petrunya, Jordan Kline from WISH 99.7, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Judith Stone and Robert Peirce from Robert Peirce and Associates. The employees of Robert Pierce and Associates have been raising funds for Make-A-Wish since 2000. To date, they have raised more than $75,000 through their office dress down days.

  • Pictured here with Judith Stone and Jordan Kline is Make-A-Wish Board of Director Member and Highmark Health Executive Vice President, Chief Auditor and Compliance Officer Melissa Anderson. Since 2009, Highmark Health has been supporting signature Make-A-Wish events across the chapter, including the Pittsburgh Grapevine event and the Erie Waffles & Wishes event. Highmark Health also funds a Wishmaker® grant annually and the hosts the Annual Highmark Walk every May.

He had started a Make-A-Wish Club in middle school and they have raised enough for a wish each year. In addition to his involvement at his school's club, he has also hosted a haunted house last October and has raised $900 for wishes.

Since 2007, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Services has raised $1,095,801. The various offices each host several fundraisers as well as a golf outing planned and implemented by their corporate office.

A donor since 1990- Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, the Preferred Realty has raised $1,292,089. Every year, the employees come together to host several events like bowling tournaments, basket raffles and celebrity bartending nights, with all proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish.

Friends, family and colleagues of Tom Sajko came together once again to host the Annual Tom Sajko Memorial Golf Outing at the Blackhawk Golf Course in Beaver Fall this past August. Although Tom is not here with us today, he is remembered fondly by everyone that knew him. Thanks to his legacy, children facing critical illnesses will now have a bright outlook of the future and the strength to keep fighting. Since 2009, the Tom Sajko Memorial Golf Outing has raised more than $30,000.

  • Pictured here with Cris and Shannon are Thermo-Twin Windows representative Linda Randas and her associate Denny. Thermo Twin Windows located in Oakmont, PA, has been supporting Make-A-Wish through their annual employee fundraisers since 1991, raising more than $96,000 for wishes.

  • Pictured standing between Cris and Shannon is President of The Strand Theater, Ron Carter. The Strand Theater located in Zelienople, PA, is a new partner of Make-A-Wish. Last October, The Strand Theater held a big foot double feature movie night that benefited Make-A-Wish. This month, they also hosted a holiday show called YULE TV's Greatest Hits, with a portion of ticket sales being donated to fund local wishes.

Since 2008, Make-A-Wish has been a beneficiary of the Blue Ride hosted by the Blue Knights PA XVI and Washington 164 F & AM Members. Since 2008, this ride has raised $12,000 for Make-A-Wish.

Complete Chiropractic Health-located in Cranberry Township, PA, has been steadily raising money for wishes each year through their company events and new patient referral program. This is her third year of fundraising for Make-A-Wish, bringing in $1,000 since her first bake sale back in 2017.

In the beginning of October, Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania held a golf outing to benefit wish granting. The outing included a 50/50 raffle, basket raffle and luncheon.

Alliance RX Walgreens is located in Robinson and has held a month long fundraiser for Make-A-Wish during the month of November. As a part of their Month of Giving event, the employees of Alliance RX Walgreens held a change war to raise money for wishes.

  • Pictured here are Nadia and Tom Podgorski from Bar 3 Millvale. Just recently, Bar 3 Millvale held a Santa Brunch with families and a Yuletide Tour to raise money to benefit Make-A-Wish. In addition to the event, Bar 3 Millvale has also donated several brand new toys to fill our wish closet.

Mr. Waterheater located in North Versailles has been helping to fund wishes since 2013, and has raised more than $46,000 towards wishes. They have hosted exciting events like chili cook-offs, corn hole tournaments, softball tournaments and much more! This year they have created a Wish Your Way Page to collect more funds online.

While there, he was able to choose a wand, visit Honeydukes candy shop and see a dragon at Gringotts. Riley still talks to all his friends about his exciting wish trip!

She was able to train with other mermaids and even had her own shimmering tail, it was a moment that Lilliana and her family would treasure forever.

  • Pictured here is four-year-old wish kid Adelaide and her family. Last March, Adelaide and her family enjoyed wild rides, whimsical characters and fun games at the Florida theme parks for her wish.

  • Pictured here are students of Eisenhower Elementary School presenting their donation to Amanda Filsinger Make-A-Wish Volunteer Manager (in the back on the right). Since 1991, Eisenhower Elementary School has been supporting wishes through several fundraising activities held by students and staff. Their most popular fundraising event is their Annual Math-a-thon, an event filled with holiday themed math activities for the students. To date, they have raised more than $210,000 to fund wishes to children with critical illnesses.

The Penn Summit Insurance Agency, LLC, held their Christmas Open House Party in Farmington, PA, to benefit Make-A-Wish. From December 9 through the 21, Chick-fil-A at The Mall at Robinson kicked off there Cookies for a Cause fundraiser during the Light Up A Child's Life Campaign. For every cookie sold, $0.75 would be donated to local wishes.

  • Pictured here are students from Derry Area High School's Interact Club. Since 1994, the Derry Area High School Interact Club has been raising funds for wish granting. In the spring, the club hosts their annual Bachelor Auction, their largest fundraising event. This year, they raised more than $18,800 to Make-A-Wish, bringing their new grand total to $176,000 since their first fundraiser.
