The Pittsburgh Penguins have supported Make-A-Wish®
for several years through its Pens and Pins bowling tournament. At the event, sponsored by the Pittsburgh Penguins Wives Association, Pens players served as celebrity team captains for each competing bowling team. This year's event was held at Paradise Island Lanes on Neville Island on February 9.
The Penguins also fulfill other specific wishes throughout the hockey season and invite wish kids to their annual Pittsburgh Penguins Children's Charities Practice & Luncheon. Penguins captain Sidney Crosby and star center Evgeni Malkin donate tickets to their private boxes to wish families throughout the season. The Penguins have also donated autographed jerseys to be auctioned off at Make-A-Wish special events. The Penguins' contributions to Make-A-Wish have totaled more than $200,000.
Make-A-Wish is grateful for the support of the Pittsburgh Penguins. We could not make wishes come true without you! Thank you!
