GE Transportation

GE logo

GE Transportation began raising funds for Make-A-Wish® in 1993 through an annual fundraising event. In its 23 years, the event, now called Bids for Kids, has raised more than $876,000 for our local chapter. All of the proceeds reflect donations made by GE employees.

Additionally, employees have been very generous with Make-A-Wish – when they are recognized for good performance, employees designate their monetary recognition gifts to help support our mission. Employees can be seen volunteering their time at Make-A-Wish events as well. More than 195 children have seen their wishes fulfilled thanks to GE's generosity.

GE Transportation is a global technology leader and supplier to the railroad, marine, drilling, wind and mining industries. GE provides freight and passenger locomotives, railway signaling and communications systems, information technology solutions, marine engines, motorized drive systems for mining trucks and drills, high-quality replacement parts and value added services.
