Each year, local truckers, trucking companies and community members come together to help raise funds to grant wishes for children living with life-threatening medical conditions.
The first-ever convoy featured 18 trucks and raised approximately $6,000. In 2016, this fantastic event raised $117,500. This year, the event had 50 wish kids in attendance and 135 participating trucks. We are excited to announce that funds are still being totaled from last weekend's convoy.
For many wish families, it was a great experience to put the pedal to the metal and help pay it forward to other wish kids:

"We had an absolutely amazing day! Our driver ,Matt, was awesome—so kind and just as excited as we were! I have to say, I got a bit teary eyed as we pulled into the line of trucks! What an amazing thing Make-A-Wish® and all these truck drivers and volunteers do to bring joy to these children's lives! Thanks for a fabulous day. We can't wait 'til next year."
In addition to the convoy, there are two other events that take place before the event, the Jerry Gordon Memorial Golf Tournament on May 5th and Amy’s Wish Convoy Kick-off Motorcycle Ride on May 6th. It was another amazing outpour of love and support this past weekend, and we thank event organizer Sherri Keller for helping to keep the Make-A-Wish mission alive.
