The West Virginia Oil Marketers & Grocers Association (OMEGA) is conducting an August campaign to raise funds to make West Virginia kids' dreams come true and the public is encouraged to participate.
Wish stars will be sold for one dollar at over 500 OMEGA-member convenience and grocery stores across the state from Aug. 1 – Aug. 31. The association will also hold a golf tournament in September 17-18 at Stonewall Resort to raise additional funds.
“Last year, this campaign raised $168,507 which resulted in over 100 wishes being granted to children in our state,” OMEGA President Jan Vineyard said. “We hope to do even better this year.”
Participating Foodland stores are holding a "Float-In" Friday where a $1 donation to Make-A-Wish gets you a root beer float. See more details here.
OMEGA has raised over $1.6 million since 2003 for charities that improve the health, safety and well-being of West Virginia children.
