Macy's National Believe Day 2014

To celebrate the holiday season and the spirit of giving, Macy’s teamed up with Make-A-Wish® for the sixth annual Believe campaign. Each year, Macy’s Believe campaign invites kids of all ages to bring their stamped Santa letters to their local Macy’s store, or visit to create and send a letter to Santa online. For every letter received, $1, up to $1 million, is donated to Make-A-Wish. On National Believe Day, which fell on December 12 this year, the donation was doubled. Macy's also celebrated this special day by granting more than 50 wishes across the United States, including two in Pittsburgh and Erie. Wish kids and school students from across Pennsylvania and West Virginia collected as many Santa letters as possible to drop off at Macy's so that more kids' wishes could come true.

After being escorted via limousine to the Millcreek Mall Macy's in Erie, Victoria, who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, spent the day being pampered and selecting the perfect party attire for her sweet 16th birthday party.  She received a makeover at Macy's. Students from St. George Catholic Elementary School greeted Victoria upon her arrival at the store.

Rachel, who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening gastrointestinal disorder, had no idea that when she was invited to be interviewed during our annual Light Up A Child's Life with WISH 99.7, her wish would be revealed with an impromptu New Year’s Eve countdown. After the surprise, Rachel was escorted by Macy’s employees to select the perfect New Year’s outfit and accessories. Her and her family also received makeovers at the Clinque counter at Macy's.
